Old Manila

Seemed like we were just walking and driving on these roads before but somehow we don't remember them at all. It seemed like it never happened.

We neglected our own country. We acted like we didn't care. And now it is too late. We destroyed the country we love and we are still doing it even if we already feel the pain.

The pictures are from the archives of University of Wisconsin, USA library. Manila looked very clean, the people are dressed very pretty and neat and happy. These pictures were probably taken around 1960 to 1975.

We rarely see that now. Maybe even worse when our population doubles up to 180 million in 40 years. But I have hope and I pray that we change.
